Anne Hathaway is on a whirlwind tour, and her latest stop in London is nothing short of spectacular. The actress, famed for her role in "The Devil Wears Prada," is back with a bang, promoting not one but two films. After dazzling at the premiere of "The Devil Wears Prada 2," Hathaway shifted gears for a special screening of her new project, "Mother Mary," set to hit theaters on April 24.
For the "Mother Mary" screening, Anne decided to channel a darker vibe, stepping away from the vibrant reds associated with "The Devil Wears Prada 2." With the help of her stylist, Erin Walsh, Hathaway donned an exquisite black gown from Iris van Herpen’s Spring/Summer 2020 couture collection. The collection, aptly named Sensory Seas, took inspiration from the groundbreaking work of neuroanatomist Ramón y Cajal. His anatomical drawings, which unveiled the mysteries of the human nervous system, served as a muse for the line's intricate designs.
The dress chosen by Hathaway was the star of the collection, making its debut during the Parisian show in January 2020. Crafted from laser-cut leather, the gown featured a high-neck corset top with billowing pleated sleeves that flowed into a floor-length skirt. Peeking from beneath the hem were matching cut-out heels, completing the sci-fi chic ensemble.
“Anne Hathaway continues to push boundaries with her fashion choices, seamlessly blending art and science,” remarked a fashion insider.
To keep the look understated yet elegant, Hathaway opted for minimal jewelry, wearing only a pair of small hoops. Her hair was styled in a chic half-up, half-down ponytail, adding a touch of effortless glamour. Even amidst a packed schedule, Hathaway manages to captivate and surprise us all with her stunning red carpet appearances.
