If you were part of the massive crowd at Coachella recently, you might have rubbed shoulders with Adam Scott, the star of Severance. But if you caught a glimpse of him, you might have noticed his less-than-enthusiastic demeanor. The actor, known for his role in Parks and Recreation, attended the festival with high hopes but left with a sour taste.
On Jimmy Kimmel Live, Scott didn't hold back, sharing his laundry list of gripes that turned his festival experience into a nightmare. "Our daughter, Frankie, she's 17 years old," Scott recounted. "She just somehow – and I don't remember when and how – convinced [my wife] Naomi and I to bring she and four of her friends to Coachella."
"She never asked us. It just became a thing we were doing. And so we did it. We brought she and her friends to Coachella," Scott shared in disbelief.
Coachella is known for its sprawling 333-acre site, which can turn a simple walk into an exhausting trek. For Scott, four days felt like an eternity. "We were there for like four days. Somehow we were there for four days," he lamented. "We dropped them off and picked them up a couple times and then also one of the days we actually went to Coachella, we went inside and everything."
Despite the star-studded lineup featuring acts like Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and Karol G, Scott wasn't impressed. "It was terrible. I hated it," he confessed. However, he did enjoy seeing The Strokes, a band he was keen on catching.
As the evening wore on, Scott's patience was tested by the vastness of the Empire Polo Club. "It took us an hour just to find Frankie and her friends," he recounted. "We find them, we get them in the car, and then we were in the parking lot for two and a half hours just to get out of the parking lot. And like, we went to bed at like 5:00 AM."
For those eager to relive the Coachella experience, tickets for next year go on sale soon. But if you ask Adam Scott, he might suggest you find another way to spend your weekend.
