Orlando Bloom Slashes Price on Malibu Marvel

Orlando Bloom is ready to bid farewell to his stunning Malibu retreat, and he's not shy about making it happen. The British heartthrob has just shaved a cool $2 million off the asking price of his Japanese-inspired abode, now listing it at $9.99 million, according to Realtor.com. Initially, the price was set at a lofty $12 million back in March, before being reduced to $11.45 million in May. Now, with a 13 percent discount from the original price tag, Bloom is clearly motivated to move on.

“It felt like it might be the right time to let it go,” Bloom shared with the Wall Street Journal.

Additionally, for those not ready to commit to a purchase, the property is also up for lease at $35,000 per month, as per Zillow.

A Home with History and Upgrades

This ocean-facing gem has a rich backstory. Bloom snagged the Malibu property in 2011 for $2.5 million, during his marriage to model Miranda Kerr. Although their marriage ended in 2013, the home holds cherished memories, especially for their son, Flynn, who spent his early years there. Bloom also shares a daughter with his former fiancée, Katy Perry.

Nestled in a gated community close to El Matador State Beach, this two-story gem, dating back to the mid-1970s, offers four bedrooms across 4,200 square feet. Bloom invested over $5 million in renovations, crafting a "Japanese feel" throughout. The revamp included opening up the first-floor layout, adding a pool to the rear garden, and embracing the breathtaking Pacific views.

Stylish Interiors and Inviting Exteriors

Step inside, and you'll find a world of style and comfort. With wood-beamed ceilings, barn-style doors, and industrial pendants, the interiors are both chic and cozy. A standout feature is the jade green kitchen, the current darling of design trends. Vibrant hues continue in the bathrooms, with shades of azure blue and butter yellow.

Outside, the second-floor terrace stretches the entire length of the house, offering spectacular ocean views. The grounds are a dream for entertainers, featuring al fresco dining spots, a wet bar, a barrel sauna, and a wooden soaking tub. And for those with a penchant for custom furnishings, pieces by artist Roy McMakin, known for his vibrant murals, are available for purchase.

With Carl Gambino of Gambino Group at Compass handling the listing, this Malibu masterpiece is ready for its next chapter.
