Paige Lorenze Takes on Nantucket with Passionate Instagram Comment

Paige Lorenze, the socialite and influencer married to tennis ace Tommy Paul, found herself in the midst of an unexpected social media feud with a quaint Nantucket store. The drama unfolded when Lorenze spotted a sign at Four Winds Craft Guild that declared, "No influencers." Taking to the store's Instagram, she unleashed a heartfelt response, questioning the sign's intent.

Four Winds Craft Guild, a staple in Nantucket since 1948, prides itself on offering handcrafted baskets, purses, and local artwork. But their anti-influencer stance didn't sit well with Lorenze. "If you call yourself a feminist but proudly put up a 'No Influencers' sign, it’s worth asking who you are attempting to delegitimize, and why…" she commented.

“Mocking women when they become powerful in a new industry isn’t new. It’s just a strange message coming from a store that celebrates a craft with such a rich history of women shaping the island and its economy.”

Influencers: A Force for Good?

Lorenze, who has carved out her own niche as a content creator, highlighted the positive impact influencers can bring to businesses. She explained how the creator economy, predominantly driven by women, offers brands a unique advantage in marketing through trust and community.

"For those who don’t know, the creator economy is overwhelmingly driven by women," Lorenze emphasized. "Brands have shifted billions of dollars into creator marketing because it consistently delivers something traditional advertising can’t… trust, community, and measurable sales."

She wrapped up her commentary by stating that one woman with a loyal audience can launch a business on a grand scale, previously achievable only with corporate support.

Store's Clapback and Lorenze's Journey

Despite Lorenze's criticisms, the store didn't shy away. They took to their Instagram Stories, sharing a post about their page being reported, sarcastically noting the triviality of such actions.

Paige Lorenze, who founded her lifestyle brand Dairy Boy in 2021, has been in the spotlight not just for her influencer status but also for her high-profile marriage to Tommy Paul. The couple tied the knot at a luxurious Long Island estate, famously inspired by "The Great Gatsby."

Reflecting on her growth, Lorenze told Page Six Style that her style and brand have evolved with age. She also expressed admiration for Hailey Bieber as an influencer, appreciating her impactful vision.

"I think there’s a difference between [being] a celebrity and having an influence," she said. "It’s really cool to see how much a woman with a vision can impact."
