Tyler Henry, the renowned celebrity medium known for his hit shows like *The Hollywood Medium* and *Live From the Other Side*, has once again bravely faced the operating room, undergoing his third brain surgery of the year. The 29-year-old took to Instagram on Saturday, December 6, to update his fans on his health status after rumors about his condition started circulating online.
Henry shared that the surgery was a success, and for the first time, the cyst he has lived with since birth has been removed. "Hi, everyone. Breaking news! I am healing well!" he wrote. "YES, I did have another brain surgery, but they were finally able to remove the cyst that has lived with me since I was born. Talk about an unwanted roommate… now evicted.😄"
"This has been a weight on me for a long time and it’s amazing to finally be free of it," Henry expressed, emphasizing the relief and optimism following the surgery.
While the prognosis looks great, Tyler emphasized the need for rest and recuperation. He announced the cancellation of his upcoming events through February, stating, "Prognosis is great, but the recovery demands a lot of rest and no work for a bit. Can’t wait to be back and better than ever." Henry also took the opportunity to thank his followers for their prayers and "good energy" as he continues on his road to recovery.
This latest surgery follows a series of medical challenges for Henry. A month prior, his husband, Clint Godwin, revealed that Tyler had undergone surgery in May 2025 to remove a cyst. However, symptoms of swelling had returned, prompting another procedure.
Earlier in May, after his first surgery of the year, Henry disclosed that he had been dealing with a "colloid tumor near the center of my brain." According to the National Institutes of Health, colloid brain cysts are benign but can present significant diagnostic and management challenges due to their slow-growing nature and location in the brain.
Tyler Henry's journey with brain surgery began back in 2014 after his 18th birthday when he underwent his first emergency procedure. Reflecting on that experience, he noted how it shaped his life and work as a medium. "Without the inevitable brain surgery that ensued, I don’t think I would have such a firsthand awareness of the fragility of life," he shared, highlighting the profound impact of his health struggles on his spiritual and professional journey.
