Tonight’s grand finale of 'I’m A Celebrity' was nothing short of spectacular, with the final three campmates battling it out for the ultimate jungle crown. Shona, Tom, and Ginge faced their final Bushtucker Trials, and let me tell you, it was a nail-biter!
Shona kicked things off, braving a cage filled with 100 rats and a shower of cockroaches. Her mission? Retrieve stars using only her tongue, all while strapped down. Sounds like a breeze, right? Not quite. Despite feeling like she had "whiplash," Shona's efforts earned her four stars, securing the starters for their final feast and a well-deserved drink.
Next up was Tom, who drew the short straw with the dreaded eating challenge in the Bushtucker Bonanza. Seated at a grand dining table, he was tasked with consuming four dishes to win three main courses and his own drink – champagne, naturally.
The challenge began with a fermented duck egg and a scorpion. Tom, ever the cool customer, stunned even Ant and Dec by casually popping the egg in whole. One of the hosts exclaimed, “No one has ever eaten a fermented egg whole before!” Tom didn’t stop there, gobbling down the scorpion at the same time.
“Tom has had the worst task! The spider… yuk!” a fan commented, echoing the thoughts of many viewers.
The surprises kept coming with an I’m A Celebrity first – Tom was served a camel's brain. Even for the fearless Tom, this was a challenge, though he described it as having a "pate" taste. Lovely!
After Tom's impressive feat, it was Ginge's turn. The YouTube star faced the Helmets of Hell, aiming to secure dessert for camp. With his head in four helmets filled with various creepy crawlies, including his worst fear – spiders, Ginge conquered his fears, winning stars and the admiration of his fellow campmates.
With the series wrapped up, fans are left wondering, "What will we do without our nightly dose of jungle antics?" Fear not – 'I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Coming Out' airs Saturday, 13 December on ITV1 and ITVX, promising more behind-the-scenes action.
