Taylor Swift's Songs Vanish from Trump's Campaign Videos

Taylor Swift fans have been having a field day mocking Donald Trump's campaign team after they used the pop star's song in a video, only for it to be yanked soon after. The video, shared by @TeamTrump to their 14 million followers, featured the U.S. President and First Lady Melania Trump basking in the glow of fireworks from a balcony. The text in the video read, "Mood because it’s August and Donald Trump is your president."

The clip, which hit social media six days ago, was set to Swift's track 'August.' The caption cheekily claimed, "I’m sure @Taylor Swift is going to be super excited we used her song! #taylorswift #maga #august." However, Swift's devoted fans – the Swifties – were quick to notice the song's disappearance. The audio section now reads, "This sound is not available."

"The copyright owner hasn’t made this sound available in your country," the U.S. version of TikTok reports, as highlighted by The Independent.

Swifties Strike Back

Swift's fans wasted no time in swarming the comment section to poke fun at Trump. One user quipped, "TAYLOR REMOVING THE AUDIO QUEEEEEEN," while another chimed in with, "Sorry, what was that? Can't hear the song." A third added with a flourish, "LOOK AROUND EVERYBODY ON MUTE."

This isn’t the first time Team Trump has faced the wrath of Swift's copyright team. Back in November, another Swift song, 'Father Figure,' was also removed from a video they posted. Additionally, a sound was cut from a video on August 6, which jokingly claimed Swift penned an entire album inspired by the Republican Party's hue.

Political Tensions and Personal Ties

Although Swift hasn't recently addressed Trump publicly, she previously endorsed his rival, Democrat Kamala Harris, in the 2024 presidential election. Swift's political engagement dates back to 2018, when she first voiced her support for Democrat candidates. In response to her political stance, Trump remarked, “Let’s say that I like Taylor’s music about 25 percent less now, OK?”

In a blend of personal and political news, Swift recently tied the knot with NFL star Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden. The venue celebrated with bold pink screens announcing "JUST&T MARRIED," prompting the White House to post a playful AI-generated image declaring "TRUMP IS YOUR PRESIDENT."

Meanwhile, singer Katy Perry also took a stand against Trump's White House after her song 'Firework' was used in a video about military strikes.
