Gordon Ramsay, the fiery chef known for his no-nonsense approach and sharp wit on shows like "Hell's Kitchen," isn't exactly known for being laid-back. His reputation for brutal honesty and sky-high expectations precedes him. But beneath that tough exterior lies a different story – especially when it comes to his personal life. Just ask his wife, Tana Ramsay.
The couple, who tied the knot in 1996 and now share six children, including their youngest, Jesse James Ramsay, born in 2023, are often seen as the epitome of relationship goals. But Tana recently shared that their love story had a less-than-perfect beginning.
In Netflix's new docuseries, "Being Gordon Ramsay," Tana opened up about her initial thoughts on meeting Gordon back in the early '90s. "I didn't like him. I thought he was really arrogant, really full of himself," she candidly revealed. "He used to really irritate me," she continued, giving fans a peek into the early days of their relationship.

At the time, Tana was dating a friend of Gordon's, while Gordon was in a relationship of his own. Despite this, he couldn't help but be captivated by Tana. "Tana was driving the car, and I was sat in the back seat and I'm looking at my mate thinking, 'Oh my God, your girlfriend is f***ing gorgeous.' She looked like a young Julia Roberts, and she brought a level of excitement like no other," Gordon admitted, reflecting on his first impression of her.
Gordon and Tana's relationship may have started with a few bumps, but it's clear they've built something special over the years. Despite Gordon's initial infatuation and Tana's less-than-favorable first impression, the two have grown into a strong and loving partnership. It's a testament to the fact that first impressions aren't everything and that love can blossom in the most unexpected ways.
