Hollywood Lights Up Savannah

Every October, the charming city of Savannah transforms into a star-studded spectacle – and this year, the 28th annual SCAD Savannah Film Festival (SSFF) was no exception. On Saturday night, the festival rolled out the red carpet to welcome some of Tinsel Town’s brightest, including the charismatic Miles Teller and Oscar-winning Da'vine Joy Randolph.

A Spiritual Rom-Com Premiere

The dynamic duo was in town to promote their latest flick, "Eternity," a film that adds a spiritual twist to the rom-com genre. The storyline revolves around a woman's choice to spend eternity with one of two past loves. When asked about his own eternal companions, Teller shared a heartfelt wish:

“The dogs I’ve had during my life who have died. And some of my favorite musicians who are no longer with us.”

Stars, Fans, and Southern Charm

For Randolph, this was her inaugural visit to the SSFF, though she’s no stranger to Savannah’s unique allure, having filmed "Bride Hard" in the area back in 2025. Reflecting on her time in the Hostess City, she expressed her affection for its blend of small-town charm and urban vibe. "I love it’s small town-ness but it also has a city vibe. I respect the restaurant cred. You guys take that serious!" she enthused.

Behind the Scenes and Autograph Opportunities

Fans were thrilled by the opportunity to interact with Teller and Randolph, gathering autographs and capturing memories. This personal touch is a hallmark of the festival, allowing movie buffs to engage directly with the stars they admire.

The festival continues to dazzle the city through November 1st, promising more exciting encounters and cinematic experiences. Stay tuned with WSAV News 3 for all the latest updates on the stars, movies, and festival happenings.
