The 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan have officially begun, and the Opening Ceremony was nothing short of a star-studded spectacle. Celebrities flocked to the event, adding a touch of glitz and glamour to the world-class athletic affair. Among the notable attendees was the legendary Mariah Carey, who wowed the audience with a stunning performance that set the tone for the evening.

ENHYPEN's Sunghoon made a memorable appearance as well, having served as a torchbearer earlier in the day. The K-pop sensation, who has a history in figure skating, shared his excitement with Teen Vogue about being part of the Olympics. "I did figure skating for 10 years, and while training, it was always my dream to be part of the Olympics," he said. "Now I have a different job as an idol – I’m an artist – but to be still connected to my dream is a big, big honor for me."

Sunghoon elaborated on his journey from athlete to artist, expressing how special it is to support the athletes. "When I was an athlete, it was my dream to showcase my performance. Now, I get to be part of the Olympics, cheering and rooting for the athletes," he added. "That still means a lot to me: I get to be part of this journey, in charge of energizing others, including the athletes, which, as someone who is an athlete-turned-artist, feels special. So it’s in a different form, of course, but it feels like a big dream is coming true for me."

Not to be outdone, Usher also made an appearance, adding to the evening's excitement and star power. The blend of music, culture, and sports truly made the 2026 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony an unforgettable event. From Sunghoon to Usher, the night was a celebration of talent and dreams coming to life on the world stage.
