Russell Brand is not holding back! After being slapped with two more counts of rape and sexual assault – adding to the five similar charges he already faced – the actor is speaking up... but not about what you might think. Brand took to his X account on Wednesday to express outrage over a courtroom sketch.

"Never mind anything else. This court sketch is an injustice," Brand declared, sharing a screenshot from an article about his recent court appearance that prominently featured the sketch. His comment raised eyebrows and stirred conversation as the image in question showcased Brand wearing a blue denim shirt, unbuttoned mid-chest, along with his signature long, brown hair and facial hair.

"I've always told you guys when I was young and single, before I had my wife and family... I was a fool, man. I was a fool before I lived in the light of the Lord," Brand shared in a heartfelt Instagram reel. "I was a drug addict, a sex addict, and an imbecile. But what I never was, was a rapist... I've never engaged in non-consensual activity. I pray that you can see that by looking in my eyes."

The 50-year-old 'Get Him to the Greek' star initially faced these serious charges back in December, following allegations from two separate incidents in 2009. The BBC reported these charges, and they are now joined by similar accusations from four other women, reportedly occurring between 1999 and 2005. Brand has maintained his innocence, pleading not guilty, and is set to face trial at the Southwark Crown Court on June 16, 2026.

In April, the U.K.'s Metropolitan Police Service charged Brand with one count of rape, one count of indecent assault, one count of oral rape, and two counts of sexual assault. Despite the gravity of the accusations, Brand insists on his innocence, stating, "I pray that you can see that by looking in my eyes."
