Comedian and former 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' contestant Ruby Wax is stirring the pot with her prediction that the arrival of new campmates will dramatically alter the jungle's vibe. Vogue Williams and Tom Read Wilson, the fresh faces in camp, have been crowned "chief explorers" and tasked with shaking things up.
Their new roles come with the power to assign chores and hand out the coveted bush explorer badges, which bring various rewards to the table. During Thursday's ITV show, Ruby, who's never one to shy away from sharing her thoughts, said, "I think the dynamic is going to change now with the two chiefs here, I really do feel like it’s kind of Lord Of The Flies, there’s two sides and we may annihilate each other, or we may fall in love."
TV personality Jack Osbourne, known for being the son of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, didn't hold back either. He expressed his skepticism about the newcomers, saying, "I feel resistance to Vogue and Tom, I’m just kind of like, ‘hey you don’t get to walk in halfway through the movie and decide to turn it off or change it…’"
Williams and Wilson joined the camp while the others were in the thick of the Camp Fright trial. The challenge, hosted by Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, tasked the celebrities with becoming Bush Explorers over the next three days to earn badges distributed by the duo.
Among the trials, model Kelly Brook faced the Knot Much Fun challenge, which required her to untie knots surrounded by creepy crawlies. She emerged victorious, securing four stars. Meanwhile, social media star Angryginge, aka Morgan Burtwistle, faced his fears in the Rotten Removals trial, successfully relocating two huntsmen spiders to earn four stars.
Rapper Aitch took on the Harshmallows challenge but failed to stomach his way to victory, leaving with zero stars. With a total of eight out of twelve stars, Williams and Wilson awarded Burtwistle the first bravery badge for overcoming his arachnophobia.
Post-trials, the new chiefs made their mark by assigning roles: Kelly Brook and Martin Kemp became camp chefs, Ruby Wax and Lisa Riley took on washing up duties, while others were tasked with water, wood, and dunny duties. In a sweet gesture, Williams and Wilson handed community badges to Brook, Riley, and Osbourne, rewarding them with hot chocolate and marshmallows by the campfire.
