Taiwanese actress Ruby Lin recently shared a surprising detail about her home life: her husband, fellow actor Wallace Huo, has never cooked a meal during their nine-year marriage. Speaking at an event on Tuesday, the 50-year-old Lin expressed that while Huo, 47, can handle steaming dumplings and whipping up instant noodles, his culinary contributions stop there.
"I've never eaten a dish he cooked," Lin candidly admitted, adding that she has never felt the need to push him into the kitchen.
In contrast to her husband's simple tastes, Lin enjoys experimenting in the kitchen. She often crafts special meals and bakes cakes for her family on special occasions, such as birthdays. Despite Huo's lack of culinary interest, Lin describes him as having a straightforward personality and minimal material desires. Remarkably, he used the same phone for six years, even after it cracked.
Huo's favorite meals are delightfully simple: stir-fried dried tofu with pork and eggs cooked with tomatoes – dishes he never tires of. Lin praises his easygoing nature as a blessing in their marriage.
Lin and Huo's relationship seems to thrive on understanding and mutual respect. Lin notes that they have never had serious arguments, only minor disagreements which they resolve privately. They prioritize shielding their daughter from any discord.
On the financial front, Lin disclosed on the reality show "See You Again" that they maintain separate finances, emphasizing the importance of shared responsibilities over financial control.
Ruby Lin first captured the public's heart in 1995 and gained fame with her role as Xia Ziwei in "My Fair Princess." Meanwhile, Huo started his entertainment career at 17 and became well-known for his role in "At Dolphin Bay." Together, they continue to be a beloved couple in the Taiwanese entertainment scene.
