Stars and Stripes with the Gere Family

Richard Gere and his wife, Alejandra Silva, treated fans to an intimate look at their Independence Day festivities, sharing moments that perfectly blend family, fun, and fireworks. The couple, along with their sons, Alexander, seven, and James, six, spent the holiday in New York City, where they enjoyed a picturesque boat ride around Manhattan. Alejandra took to Instagram, delighting followers with snaps of the family cruising by the iconic Statue of Liberty.

“Deeply grateful for a life built between two countries, two cultures, and so many people we love," Alejandra expressed in her heartfelt post. "Today, we celebrate connection, family, friendship, and everything that reminds us that home is not only a place, but the people we carry in our hearts.”

Beachside Bliss and Fireworks

The celebrations didn’t stop at the boat ride. Alejandra also shared adorable photos of Alexander and James playing at the beach, complete with a red, white, and blue picnic blanket. The evening culminated in a spectacular fireworks display, which the family watched together, capturing the essence of a perfect July 4th celebration.

A Transatlantic Life

Having recently moved back to the United States after a period in Spain, Richard and Alejandra are enjoying their time stateside. “It's been great," Richard shared with HELLO!, reflecting on their time in Europe. "Ale was so happy to be with her family, her friends, and her culture. And the food – all those wonderful things about Spanish culture." Despite their current American adventure, Alejandra assured fans they haven't closed the door on returning to her homeland, describing Spain as "a place we will always come back to."

Family First

The couple is known for keeping their family life private, sharing glimpses only occasionally. Richard, also father to Homer, 26, from a previous marriage, and Alejandra, mother to Albert, 13, are focused on providing a supportive environment for their children. "Right now, we are very focused on the children and supporting them where they need it most," Alejandra emphasized, adding that Spain remains in their future plans.
