Reese Witherspoon has opened the curtain on the current status of Jennifer Aniston's relationship with her famous ex, Brad Pitt. During a candid chat with Dax Shepard on his popular "Armchair Expert" podcast, Witherspoon cleared the air about Aniston's love life. Aniston, who was married to Pitt from 2000 until their split in 2005, seems to have moved on with grace and positivity.
Witherspoon shared that Jennifer Aniston isn't clutching onto the past. "She’s not who people think she is—like, holding onto old things," Witherspoon emphasized during the interview. "She’s not holding onto old things." Shepard chimed in, stating the obvious: "She’s not pining for Brad Pitt." Witherspoon wholeheartedly agreed and even highlighted Aniston's 50th birthday as a testament to her character. "And by the way, at her 50th birthday—one of the biggest testaments I can say to what a wonderful person she is—people from her teenage years, people from her 20s, people who work in her home, every ex-husband, ex-boyfriend was there."
“She just is a high spiritual-integrity person,” Witherspoon concluded with admiration.
Though Aniston has been relatively quiet about her breakup with Pitt, she did open up a bit during a Vanity Fair interview this past August. Reflecting on a 2005 article titled "The Unsinkable Jennifer Aniston," she shared, "I haven’t looked at that article in forever. I just remember the experience of doing it—which was kind of jarring. It was also such a vulnerable time. But yeah, that was one for the memoirs."
In the professional realm, Aniston and Witherspoon continue to shine together on "The Morning Show." Their on-screen partnership as news anchors has captivated audiences, earning the show a whopping 27 Emmy nominations. With the series recently renewed for a fifth season, fans can look forward to more drama, intrigue, and heartfelt moments. "It's jam-packed full of exploring AI, deep fakes, who can you trust, who's telling the truth, betrayal, heartbreak—severe heartbreak—and friendship," Aniston told Today about the upcoming season.
