The Real Housewives of Atlanta is back, and season 17 is already serving up the drama, unforgettable moments, and those timeless one-liners fans adore. To kick off the new season, the fabulous Porsha Williams stopped by Good Housekeeping to dish on life post-season, her entrepreneurial ventures, and a certain RHOA moment she'd love to forget.
Styled to perfection in a black leather mini skirt and matching jacket, with her signature GoNakedHair lob, Porsha exuded confidence. Her hair brand, known for its luxurious extensions and wigs, is a testament to her growing business empire. But she's not just about hair – her bedding line, Pampered by Porsha, is inspired by none other than her mom's love of fine sheets.
During her chat, Porsha opened up about the viral RHOA moments that made her a household name. While she's proud of many, there's one she'd rather erase from the internet: the infamous Underground Railroad scene. Back in 2013, during a cast trip to Savannah, Porsha mistakenly thought the Underground Railroad was an actual train.
“I was so young and nervous, I would just blank out,” she confessed. “I don’t usually regret anything, but that one… I could do without.” Despite this, she embraces her other viral moments, especially the sassy "Bye, Ashy" line directed at Kenya Moore, which remains a fan favorite.
“Kenya is gorgeous, so that’s what makes it funny—I had to search for that read,” Porsha joked. “But it’s probably the most-used meme on my page. It applies to everything.”
Beyond the drama, Porsha cherishes the sisterhood formed with her RHOA co-stars. Her recent collaboration with Cynthia Bailey and Drew Sidora on her GoNakedHair line is proof of their strong bond. “That’s huge because, in this industry, a lot of women don’t work together,” she shared.
This season also saw Porsha reunite with NeNe Leakes on The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20s. “We couldn’t celebrate 20 years of Housewives without NeNe,” Porsha said. “Her coming in and surprising the girls was so fun and nostalgic. We’ve missed her, she’s such a huge part of the show’s legacy.”
Catch all the drama and sisterhood on new episodes of RHOA every Sunday at 8 PM EST on Bravo.
