Pharrell Williams, the celebrated singer and songwriter, made an electrifying appearance in his hometown of Virginia Beach. On Friday night, fans gathered at a new pop-up shop to catch a glimpse of the star and explore his latest offerings. The shop, which opened its doors with much fanfare, features Pharrell's brand, Virginia, and the eagerly awaited Adidas Adistar Jellyfish sneakers.
“It’s just so exciting and refreshing to see someone from Virginia to really represent us so well,” said fan Shareese Johnson. “I saw his Instagram, and he was like, he’s gonna pop out 10/10, so I’m all excited. Everybody came here to see the shoes, but honestly, I just came here to see Pharrell.”
The Virginia brand boasts a variety of items, including shirts and souvenirs, all showcased for eager shoppers. Yet, the spotlight was undoubtedly on the new shoes, available in two striking colorways for the first time, retailing at $300. Fans like Amari Bacot were thrilled to see Pharrell in person, drawn by his enduring support for the Commonwealth.
The pop-up, located at 332 20th Street, Suite 130, next to Atlantic Park, is buzzing with activity. Bacot expressed her admiration for Pharrell's dedication, saying, “Pharrell, he reps Virginia harder than anybody. It’s really nice, because we’re not a super big state, so it’s nice to have such a big name celebrity represent for Virginia.”
Open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, the pop-up offers a unique opportunity for fans to engage with Pharrell's creative vision. Whether you're there for the exclusive sneakers or simply to be part of the excitement, this event is a testament to Pharrell's deep connection to his roots.
