What does one wear to a Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony? While it's not technically a red carpet affair, it's definitely a moment worthy of a designer ensemble. On February 18, Michelle Yeoh graced her star's unveiling with a breathtaking silk Dior dress, perfectly bridging the divide between daytime chic and evening elegance.
Three years after her Oscar win, Yeoh finally earned her spot on Hollywood Boulevard. She shone as brightly as her statuette in a radiant yellow slip from Dior's Pre-Fall 2026 collection. Jonathan Anderson's Look 48 featured an elongated boatneck with one sleeveless shoulder and a cap-sleeve, evoking memories of Anderson's iconic Post-It note dress from his Loewe days. The dress's bodice carried the same relaxed charm – minus the oversized gold pin.
Green leaves and vines artistically adorned the waist of the dress’s asymmetrical, ankle-length skirt. By creatively folding and pinning one end of the satin, the leaves appeared to sprout from the "Wicked" star's hip. Yeoh paired this lemon-hued masterpiece with ivory slingback pumps from Roger Vivier, adding an extra touch of sparkle. But it was her timepiece that truly elevated her ensemble to the next level.
Yeoh never attends a Hollywood event without a show-stopping watch. At this ceremony, she sported the RM 037 model from Richard Mille – a $360,000 piece encrusted with snow-set diamonds. "I used to only wear very big, masculine watches, because for me it is a statement," Yeoh shared with the Swiss brand. "I don’t agree that women should only wear small watches."
The watch, with its red and rose gold face, has made a few appearances on Yeoh's wrist before, notably at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival and the 2025 SAG Awards. It's a rare sight, much like Yeoh herself in Dior – a combination reserved for only the most prestigious occasions.
Similar to her exclusive Richard Mille watch, Yeoh reserves her Dior moments for special events, such as the BAFTA Film Awards and the Oscars in 2023. Fans can only hope that upcoming award shows might feature more of Yeoh in Dior's stunning designs. With a few Spring 2026 Couture pieces already calling her name, perhaps another yellow dress will continue her sunshine series.
