Emmerdale's own Lisa Riley has turned heads with her stunning weight transformation on I'm A Celebrity, shedding nearly a stone and a half! The secret? A combo of portion control and the relentless jungle lifestyle.
The 49-year-old actress, who recently left the show on December 5 after a double eviction with Jack Osbourne, looked radiant and notably slimmer post-camp. Lisa shared that while the basic diet of beans and rice played a role, it was the portion control and constant activity that truly made the difference.
“Do you know what it is? It's portion control. Everyone says, 'Oh, it's beans and rice'. Yes, it is beans and rice, but it's actually what you consume,” Lisa revealed.
Life in the Australian jungle wasn't just about lounging around a campfire. Lisa described the experience as an endless cycle of activity. "When you go up to the [Bush] Telegraph to talk, it's step after step. When you go to a challenge, you never stop moving," she explained. "It's endless. It's not just sat around a campfire having loads of giggles."
Even though hunger was a constant companion, Lisa insists she was never truly starving. "Yes, there were times I was really hungry, but by the time you've come back from the challenge, then the food basket's coming down," she shared. For the vegetarian actress, meals were often padded out with rice, leading her to declare, "Rice and I are done."
Besides the weight loss, Lisa had her fair share of jungle fun, including a cheeky confession about co-host Ant McPartlin. "Any red-blooded woman would say Ant is juicy," she laughed, adding that she's happily in a relationship with her fiancé, Al.
Known for her playful nature, Lisa insists, "I'm a flirt. I flirt with everybody... I know who I go home to every night and who loves me and who I love." After 12 years with Al, she confidently states, "We know where our bread's buttered with each other."
Lisa's jungle adventure was everything she hoped for and more, leaving her with not just a slimmer figure, but cherished memories and a newfound appreciation for portion control.
