Lily Collins, born in 1989 in England, was destined for stardom from the start. With her father being the legendary musician Phil Collins, Lily was no stranger to rubbing elbows with the rich and famous. Yet, as she nonchalantly revealed on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," these encounters were simply part of her daily life. "They're people," she shrugged, offering a glimpse into her grounded upbringing. Her early exposure to the celebrity world offered her a unique vantage point on the ups and downs of fame. "When I was younger I saw that this business came with pros and cons," she shared with the Daily Mail. "What I learned from my family is that if this is truly what you love to do, everything has a cost."

Lily's first foray into acting came early, landing a role in the BBC series "Growing Pains" in 1992 when she was just two. Despite the early start, it wasn't a forced path, as she explained to The Guardian, "I wasn't thrown into it or anything. I think it was through some connections with my grandmother or something like that." While her role in the series was brief, it was clear that acting was in her blood, even if she initially resisted the spotlight.
Growing up, Lily's dreams were more about fashion than film. She confided to Harper's Bazaar U.K. that she preferred staying out of the limelight, saying, "I never liked being the focal point of attention. Growing up, I liked being in the background." However, destiny had other plans, and her modeling work as a youngster hinted at the fashionista she would become. But it would take a few more years before she found her true calling back on the small screen, embracing her passion for acting and captivating audiences worldwide.
