Don't mess with Kaley Cuoco! The "8 Simple Rules" star isn't shy about naming names, especially when it comes to her not-so-great experiences. While chatting on Dax Shepard's "Armchair Expert" podcast, Cuoco opened up about an awkward encounter with none other than Rose McGowan during her time on the "Charmed" set.
Cuoco joined "Charmed" for its final season, and it was a mixed bag of welcomes. She recalled first meeting Alyssa Milano, Holly Marie Combs, and McGowan while shooting promo photos. "I'm joining their family photo, and I'm 21, I'm the hottest I've ever been, by the way," she laughed, setting the scene before sharing "the loveliest story about Alyssa Milano."
"I'm so freaking nervous," Cuoco confessed. "It's on their lunch break. They're all in the corners eating. I walk in, Alyssa Milano sees me, and she got up, ran over to me, and welcomed me to the show, gave me the biggest hug in the world, so happy, so kind. I will never forget that."
While Milano was thrilled to welcome Cuoco, the same can't be said for everyone. "Rose? Maybe not as happy," Cuoco admitted. "I still don't know if she liked me. I don't know. But Alyssa was amazing. I was terrified. It's a weird thing coming into a show in year eight, and I only did the one season."
The experience taught Cuoco a valuable lesson in kindness, which she carried forward into her work on "The Big Bang Theory." With the CBS sitcom running for 12 years, Cuoco made it a point to ensure new actors felt welcome, remembering how strange it can be to join an already tight-knit cast.
Cuoco's time on "Charmed" may have been short, but it left a lasting impression. Her experience with Milano's kindness shaped how she interacted with new cast members on "The Big Bang Theory." As she noted, "It was important to me to make sure everyone felt welcomed, just like Alyssa did for me."
Kaley Cuoco continues to be an influential figure in Hollywood, balancing her busy career with family life. Recently, she shared the joyous news of her daughter, Matilda, with fellow actor Tom Pelphrey.
