If you've got fond memories of "Full House," then you'll remember Uncle Jesse's band, Jesse & The Rippers. For over a decade, Riot Fest tried to bring this fictional band to life, and in 2025, their persistence paid off. John Stamos, the real-life heartthrob, joined The Beach Boys on stage, creating a moment fans won't soon forget.
Back in 2013, Riot Fest was already dreaming of a Jesse & The Rippers performance, but it took until 2025 for it to materialize. Throughout the years, the festival kept Stamos in mind with quirky tributes, including a life-sized butter sculpture of the actor.
“The years of the festival poking fun at me had been the ‘sweetest… most fun, kind-hearted thing that anyone’s ever done,’” Stamos shared with the crowd.
When Stamos finally agreed to perform, he didn't come without some light-hearted conditions. Among his demands were a tattoo of him on Riot Fest founder Mike Petryshyn, a Stamos lookalike contest, a Greek-style pizza named after him, and a no-eye-contact rule with his hair.
Petryshyn was game, getting a tattoo of a butter stick in a faux-Greek font, crossing one demand off the list. The festival promised to meet the rest of Stamos' playful requests in time for his appearance.
On September 20, 2025, Stamos took the stage in black leather alongside Beach Boys' legends Mike Love and Bruce Johnston. The setlist was a nostalgic journey, featuring hits from "Surfin' USA" to "Kokomo," thrilling fans who had waited years for this moment.
Stamos' history with The Beach Boys goes way back to 1985, when he first played drums with them at a July 4th concert. The bond continued with a guest spot on "Full House," cementing a long-standing relationship with the iconic band. Riot Fest 2025 was a testament to that enduring connection and the fun-loving spirit of Stamos and his fans.
