J.Lo's Emotional Milestone: Twins on the Brink of College

Jennifer Lopez is pulling back the curtain on a deeply personal chapter of her life as her twins, Max and Emme, gear up to fly the nest and begin their college journey. The 56-year-old superstar got candid during a chat with Entertainment Tonight, right on the opening night of her electrifying Up All Night Live residency in Las Vegas. With a mix of excitement and nostalgia, Lopez shared her feelings about the big step her 17-year-olds are about to take.

"I feel really good about it," she revealed. "I'm like, [I] can't believe that we've gotten here, you know, just the three of us. It's, you know, been a journey for all three of us through this life [because] I was a single mom since they were 3 years old."

Reflecting on their close-knit family dynamics, Lopez continued, "People have come in and out of my life, but it really has just been the three of us. And to see how they're kind of like thriving right now and the adults, like young adults that they're growing into, and they're so ready for their life. They're so ready to get out there and I remember what that felt like [at] 18."

Excitement and Support: A Mom's Perspective

As a proud mom, Lopez can't wait to watch Max and Emme discover what life has in store for them. She's buzzing with excitement about the independence and opportunities that lie ahead for her kids.

"I'm so excited for that because I know that they have this like, home for them to come home to that is solid and will be solid for them for the rest of their life, and they know that, even more importantly," Lopez explained. "So they have that love and they can go out and do whatever they want."

Lopez, who welcomed Max and Emme in 2008 with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, is known worldwide as a powerhouse entertainer. Yet, in a chat with E! News, she confessed that her children aren't all that fazed by her celebrity status.

Keeping It Real: The Twins' Take on Mom's Fame

"It's funny, my kids are not very involved with Mom's work. They're like, 'work, come home, be home for dinner.' That's more what they're concerned about. Mom, are you going to be here in the weekend? Can we do this? Can we do that? You know, it's a different life. It's separate," she shared.

Despite their nonchalance about her glittering career, the twins have been spotted enjoying her Las Vegas shows. Lopez proudly described them as "fans," and it's clear they're supportive of their mom's dazzling performances.

"They came to the show yesterday and today and they'll be there tomorrow," Lopez said affectionately. "They're fans. They're sweet about it, and they're proud of their mama."

As Max and Emme prepare for this exciting new chapter, Lopez's journey as a mom continues to evolve, with love and support at the heart of it all.
