It's official – Jennifer Lopez has moved on from her romantic ink tribute to Ben Affleck. The iconic singer and actress reportedly covered up her matching tattoo with Affleck, which they got in February 2023 around Valentine's Day. This symbolic gesture was once proudly shared with fans on social media, marking a significant moment in their rekindled romance.
According to the ever-watchful gossip account Deuxmoi, Lopez has swapped out Ben's name for a fresh start with a hummingbird design. Curious fans began noticing the change in July and August, but the exact timing remains a mystery. A recent performance showcased Lopez dancing and singing on stage in a glittery bikini, with the modified tattoo subtly visible.
“J.Lo covered up Ben's name on her tattoo. She put a hummingbird in place of his name," reads the notice from Deuxmoi.
In the same post, Deuxmoi tackled some swirling rumors about an old video showing Lopez and Affleck sharing a kiss – quickly debunking it as outdated footage.
Lopez and Affleck had matching tattoos in different spots – hers was an infinity sign on her ribs with their names in cursive, while Affleck sported two arrows with the initials "J" and "B" on his arm. Lopez, known for her candid remarks, once commented on Affleck's famous phoenix back tattoo, saying, "It has too many colors... They shouldn't be so colorful, you know what I mean? They should be, like, cooler."
Lopez has often shown her ribcage in various glamorous outfits, sometimes using makeup to conceal the tattoo. Red carpet appearances hinted at the removal process, but details of the new design were scarce – until now. The hummingbird tattoo marks a fresh chapter for Lopez, sparking conversations across social media.
As one fan aptly put it, “This is why you don’t get someone’s name tattooed on your body.”
