Jennifer Garner knows all too well the highs and lows of parenting. In a candid interview, she revealed her empathy for young parents navigating the pressures of doing everything right for the first time. "I just have so much heart for young parents and how much you want to do everything right," Garner shared with PEOPLE. "I've been there. I know that pressure."
Her own journey started with her first child, Violet, in 2005, followed by Fin and Samuel, whom she shares with ex-husband Ben Affleck. Garner fondly remembers the early days, cherishing those precious first outfits. "Those first onesies, first pajamas, those first clothes hold so much memory," she reflected, admitting she still keeps a box of her children's baby clothes.
The interview coincided with the launch of her latest project – a collaboration between her brand Once Upon a Farm and Carter's. This venture brings soft, adorable clothing to babies and kids, adding another dimension to her company's mission of providing healthy snacks and meals for youngsters. "Part of wanting to be a co-founder of Once Upon a Farm was the idea that we couldn’t just feed babies and kids a whole new level of nutrition," Garner explained, emphasizing the importance of quality food for children.
Garner also spilled some unexpected tea about Ben Affleck's musical preferences. Turns out, the Oscar-winning actor-director is a big fan of Beyoncé. Garner recalled a time when Affleck was filming 'The Town' in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and he would play Beyoncé's 'Halo' on repeat. "Ben Affleck listens to a song over and over," she revealed. "And he listened to Beyoncé's 'Halo,' and I would be nursing."
Affleck has previously spoken about his writing process, highlighting the role of music in his creative work. "I listen to music when I write, and usually I will find a couple of songs that are inspiring to me and I just sort of put them on a loop," he shared in a past interview. "I find that it’s kind of hypnotic, and it allows me to concentrate more."
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck may have parted ways, but their stories – from parenting to unique musical influences – continue to captivate us.
