Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon are giving us major friendship goals, and it all started on the iconic set of Friends! Their bond began when Reese guest-starred as Rachel Green's self-absorbed sister, and since then, their friendship has only grown stronger. Fast forward a couple of decades, and they’ve reunited on The Morning Show, which is gearing up for its fourth season this month.
The two actresses have not only supported each other through their careers but also shared in each other's successes. Both were nominated for a People’s Choice Award for Drama Star of the Year, with Jennifer snagging the win. Their chemistry on The Morning Show is undeniable, a testament to their enduring friendship.
“I don’t know what I would do without her by my side, to be honest. She’s my support,” Jennifer said about Reese. “We hold each other up. I feel like we’ve just grown into [the show] and it sort of it just keeps accelerating,” she told Extra.
On-screen, they may play frenemies, but off-screen, Jennifer and Reese are each other’s biggest cheerleaders. Their friendship, forged in the Friends era, remains rock solid and continues to shine brightly. As Jennifer puts it, their off-camera support is what keeps them going strong.
The upcoming season of The Morning Show promises more drama and an even more star-studded cast. Joining the likes of Jon Hamm and Billy Crudup are Academy Award winners Marion Cotillard and Jeremy Irons. Jeremy, in fact, will be playing Jennifer's dad on the show, a casting decision that left Jennifer thrilled. “I can’t quite believe that it happened. That he said yes,” she remarked, calling it "an embarrassment of riches."
With the new season premiering on Apple TV+ on September 17, fans are eagerly anticipating what’s next for their favorite characters. Jennifer is confident that it’s going to be a “good season,” and with the addition of such incredible talent, it’s hard to disagree.
