In the latest episode of his popular New Heights podcast, Jason Kelce had a special shout-out for none other than pop superstar Taylor Swift. The Kansas City Chiefs’ recent victory over the Las Vegas Raiders on October 19 got an extra sprinkle of stardust, courtesy of Swift's attendance at Arrowhead Stadium. And it seems her presence did not go unnoticed by Kelce, who made sure to express his gratitude.
"We got the Chiefs dominating win for the Raiders. Yeah, baby," Jason enthusiastically stated. "Eagles back in the win column. Thank you so much, Taylor. Thank you so much," he added, tipping his hat to the songstress, whose fiancé, Travis Kelce, is a star player on the team. It looks like the combination of football and pop music is a winning formula for the Chiefs.
Jason didn't stop there. He went on to highlight how Swift's music is making waves among the Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes, the team's quarterback, shared an Instagram video of the game set to Swift’s track "Opalite" from her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl. It showcased Mahomes' impressive pass to wide receiver Rahee Rice, adding a touch of pop magic to the sports highlight.
“The sky is definitely opalite in Kansas City right now for the Chiefs. There's no question,” Jason remarked, referencing the song’s positive vibes.
Even Travis Kelce chimed in, praising the song's success. "I told y'all it was gonna be a banger, man," he said, clearly thrilled with the tune's reception.
Following the game, Swift was spotted celebrating the Chiefs' win in style. She joined Travis at 1587 Prime Steakhouse, a restaurant he co-owns with Mahomes. Dressed in a red top and black mini skirt – a chic nod to the Chiefs' colors – Swift was all smiles alongside her father, Scott Swift. Her presence marked her second appearance at a Chiefs game this season, having first attended on October 12 with Travis’ parents.
With her engagement to Travis Kelce announced in August, Taylor Swift's connection to the Chiefs is becoming a delightful regular fixture, adding a touch of glamour and excitement to the football season.
