Jane Lynch's Nostalgic Return to 'Glee'

Sue Sylvester is back! Jane Lynch, the beloved actress known for her iconic role in "Glee," recently reunited with her former co-stars on the season premiere of "Celebrity Weakest Link." Airing Mondays on Fox at 9 p.m., Lynch expressed her excitement to The Post, saying, "I was thrilled. I put the tracksuit on again." The tracksuit, a signature of her "Glee" character, had to be specially made since she donated the original to an auction.

"I was thrilled. I put the tracksuit on again," Lynch shared excitedly.

The 'Glee' Family Reunion

The reunion episode, which aired on September 15, brought together a host of "Glee" alumni, including Chord Overstreet, Becca Tobin, Heather Morris, Dot-Marie Jones, Jenna Ushkowitz, Amber Riley, Max Adler, and Alex Newell. "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" star was particularly surprised by Overstreet and Morris's sharp performances, despite their characters' dim-witted personas on "Glee." "I guess I probably protected them," Lynch mused. "They surprised me. They were wonderful."

Lynch remains close with several of her former co-stars. "I see Chord, I see Dot," she mentioned, adding that although Matt Morrison couldn't join the reunion due to his tour, he's still a cherished friend.

Life After 'Glee' and New Surprises

Since "Glee" wrapped, its stars have ventured down various paths. While Cory Monteith's tragic passing in 2013 was a somber moment, others like Jonathan Groff, Lea Michele, and Darren Criss have found their footing on Broadway. Lynch praised their talent, stating, "The talent always rises to the top." Becca Tobin's podcast and Lea's success were also highlighted.

Lynch also shared insights from her recent stint on Hulu's "Only Murders in the Building," where she worked alongside Steve Martin and Martin Short. "Steve is the kindest, most mellow, charming, and funny guy," she said, recounting their shared dinners.

Game Show Surprises and Hosting Challenges

In upcoming episodes of "Celebrity Weakest Link," Lynch was taken aback by "Parenthood" actress Monica Potter's prowess. "She leads you to believe she’s confused, and she’s razor sharp," Lynch commented. However, behind her confident host facade, Lynch confessed she struggles with sending contestants home, saying, "Inside, I don’t feel great. But we do it all in good fun."

With "Celebrity Weakest Link" continuing to entertain, Jane Lynch's charismatic presence ensures viewers remain hooked, whether they're reliving "Glee" nostalgia or witnessing unexpected game show brilliance.
