Jaime Pressly was reportedly asked to leave the Signia by Hilton San Jose on Thursday after several hotel guests complained about her behavior in the lobby. According to reports, witnesses said she was talking loudly on the phone, using profanity, and drinking alcohol – and that security was forced to intervene more than once.
Those on scene described her as appearing to be under the influence as she continued a lengthy phone call that staff and other guests found disruptive. The incident took place just days before she was due to make an appearance at GalaxyCon in San Jose.
Witnesses told outlets that Pressly initially ignored two security guards who approached her during a roughly 30-minute phone conversation. She reportedly held up a finger to indicate she wasn’t finished and kept speaking, prompting further complaints from other guests.
People nearby said she spoke affectionately on the call and referenced family matters, and that the ongoing conversation included loud, profane language that made others uncomfortable. After she hung up, an encounter with another guest escalated the situation.
"She was very loud on the phone and didn’t seem to want to stop when staff tried to talk to her – it felt like security had to step in to keep everyone calm," a witness said.
According to eyewitnesses, Pressly approached a woman who was attending a wedding at the hotel and touched her arm while complaining about the security guards. That prompted another round of intervention from staff.
After that interaction, she briefly left the lobby to smoke for about ten minutes, then returned accompanied by a valet employee. Witnesses say she went back to the bar for another drink before security escorted her away from the property.
Multiple witnesses reported that security guards spoke with Pressly several times before she ultimately left the property. Page Six confirmed with the San Jose Police Department that officers were not called to the scene.
Sources say Pressly departed on her own volition, and that there was no police involvement during the incident. That detail was later corroborated by local reports.
A spokesperson for the Signia by Hilton San Jose told Page Six that, “Given our privacy obligations, we are unable to provide any information.” The hotel declined to offer further details beyond that statement.
Page Six also reached out to Pressly’s representatives for comment, but did not immediately receive a response. The incident has otherwise been reported based on witness accounts and hotel sources.
In the wake of the incident, Jaime Pressly ultimately canceled her scheduled appearance at GalaxyCon. Organizers and fans were left disappointed after news of the disturbance circulated online.
The actress had been in town for the convention when the reported events unfolded, and eyewitness photos placed her at the hotel lobby prior to her departure.
Pressly, known for roles in "My Name Is Earl" and "Not Another Teen Movie," was previously married to entertainment lawyer Simran Singh, with whom she shares twin boys. She also has another son from a prior relationship.
Earlier this year, Pressly launched an OnlyFans account – a fact that has been noted in coverage of her recent public activity. For now, the hotel incident and canceled convention appearance are the focus of the story.
