Alex Scott, the former football star and I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! contestant, has revealed that viewers have missed out on witnessing one of the most compelling journeys in the jungle. Speaking with Ranvir Singh on *Lorraine*, Alex shared that her co-star Shona McGarty's real journey hasn't been given the spotlight it deserves.

While discussing who she hopes will take the crown, Alex admitted, "It's a really tough one... Ginge and Aitch, they've had all the airtime and everyone's seen the bond between them." Despite the visibility of these frontrunners, Alex has a soft spot for Shona, whom she feels hasn't received the recognition she deserves.

"My special bond, I was with Shona," Alex said. "I don't think the public have seen the real journey that she's been on during the show."

Behind-The-Scenes Bonding

Alex went on to describe how Shona has opened up about her anxieties and personal struggles, sharing both her vulnerable moments and her fun side with her fellow campers. Yet, these moments have largely remained off-screen. "She's spoken about so much, about her anxieties and stuff she's gone through in life, and her fun side. But I don't think anyone's seen that," Alex added.

Despite her early departure, Alex has fond memories of her jungle experience and wishes Shona could have the same recognition as the show’s more prominent figures. "I want her to win but it's going to be between the boys, isn't it? But everyone's a winner in there," she concluded optimistically.

Real-Life Interruptions

In addition to discussing Shona, Alex touched on her early exit from the show, which was due to a family emergency. She revealed that she hurried home to be with her partner, Jess Glynne, whose mother had suffered a severe stroke requiring brain surgery. "She's in critical care at the moment, so we've been at the hospital every day," Alex explained, highlighting the real-world concerns that sometimes take precedence over celebrity antics.

The current series of I'm A Celebrity will wrap up on Sunday, 7 December, leaving fans eager to see who will ultimately take the jungle crown. As the finale approaches, the remaining contestants, including Jack Osbourne, Lisa Riley, and Tom Reid Wilson, continue to navigate the challenges of jungle life.
