During an exclusive chat with PEOPLE at the New York Film Festival premiere on September 28, Reese opened up about her unique on-set experience with Elba. "He just said, 'Stay confident. Be yourself. Have fun,'" Reese shared about the advice Elba gave her. But it wasn't just a one-way street – the 23-year-old athlete was also teaching Elba a few tricks of her own on the court.

“We were shooting baskets … and I was teaching him a few things too, so it was really fun,” Reese revealed.
