It's hard to believe over 15 years have passed since we lost the brilliant Heath Ledger. Now, Heather Graham, one of his past loves, is opening up about their time together. The Oscar-winning actor, who left us too soon in 2008 at just 28, has left an indelible mark on Hollywood and those who knew him.
Graham, now 55, joined Kristin Davis on her podcast, *Are You a Charlotte?* where the host, 60, reminisced about a memorable encounter involving Graham and Ledger. "I think I was at a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, possibly on Sunset Blvd., and I think you were there," Davis recalled during the episode aired on Monday, Oct. 13. "And I think you were there with Heath Ledger."
Graham fondly confirmed the romance, adding a delightful tidbit: "Yes, I dated him. I think we might’ve watched [your show *Sex and the City*] together, and I think he actually really liked it." The *Boogie Nights* star proudly reflected on their relationship, sharing, "I was very in love with him when we dated. He’s kinda amazing."
“I wish he was still alive. That would be nice. Some of these really bright lights don’t get to live so long.”
Heather's heartfelt words paint a picture of a cherished connection, one she wishes had more time.
The couple's romance blossomed between 2000 and 2001 after reportedly meeting in Prague. At the time, Ledger was filming *A Knight’s Tale*, while Graham was shooting *From Hell*. Their shared experiences in the city seemed to have sparked a connection that Graham still holds dear.
Sadly, Ledger's life came to a tragic end due to an accidental drug overdose. His impressive filmography, including roles from the ’90s classic *10 Things I Hate About You* to the award-winning *Brokeback Mountain*, remains a testament to his talent.
His passing followed a difficult period marked by personal struggles, including his breakup with Michelle Williams, with whom he had a daughter, and battles with addiction and insomnia. His untimely death continues to be a poignant reminder of the fleeting nature of life and fame.
