The beloved Grey's Anatomy star passed away on February 19, leaving behind his estranged wife Rebecca Gayheart and their two daughters, Billie and Georgia.

This act of generosity was part of a GoFundMe campaign to support Dane's family, where Euphoria creator Sam Levinson and his wife Ashley also contributed a substantial $27,000. Although Bieber hasn't publicly commented on her donation, her actions speak volumes, offering a beacon of hope and solidarity to a family in mourning.

“I’m not about to concede my purpose for some disease. I just am not capable of doing that," Dane had said during a virtual panel for IAMALS.org last December, reflecting his resilient spirit.

Eric Dane was only 53 when he succumbed to ALS, a battle he bravely announced to the world in April 2025. Despite the physical limitations imposed by the disease, Dane remained steadfast and vocal about his condition, determined to live with purpose and dignity.

In a poignant interview on Netflix's Famous Last Words, aired just a day after his death, Dane expressed his enduring love for Rebecca, the mother of his children. "We still love each other deeply, I just think we don't want to live with each other," he shared, highlighting the enduring bond despite their separation in 2017.

Eric and Rebecca's love story began in 2003 and quickly blossomed into marriage just 10 months later. Although Gayheart filed for divorce in 2018, she later dismissed the petition in 2025, around the time Dane revealed his diagnosis.

Reflecting on their relationship, Dane once remarked, "She's the mother of my children, and the whole way that thing came about was so organic and fortuitous. I met Rebecca, and I turned to her friend and I said 'I'm going to marry that girl.'"
