Some red carpet moments linger long after the flashbulbs fade, and Gwen Stefani’s appearance at the 'Oh. What. Fun.' premiere earlier this month is definitely one of them. Earlier this December, the 56-year-old singer graced the New York City screening in a sheer, statement-making ball gown that was equal parts festive fantasy and high fashion.
Gwen made her grand entrance at the premiere on December 2, 2025, wearing a breathtaking Vera Wang Spring 2024 ready-to-wear gown. The dress was designed to look like it had been wrapped as a holiday gift, featuring a visible black corset bodice, a voluminous black tulle waist, and a dramatic mermaid skirt.
A soft layer of light green tulle floated over the gown, adding an unexpected pop of color and a playful touch that leaned fully into the holiday spirit. Gwen styled her signature platinum blonde hair sleek and straight, allowing the dress to take center stage. She completed her look with gleaming bracelets, bold rings, a statement necklace, and pale pink nails.
“This is the first time I’ve ever been asked to write a song for a specific moment in a film,” Gwen shared in a statement. “It made me nervous, excited, and inspired to take on the challenge of creating a Christmas song that feels up tempo, nostalgic, and reflects the sentiment of the movie, Oh. What. Fun.”
The appearance was especially fitting given Gwen’s connection to the film. Her holiday track "Shake the Snow Globe" is featured on the movie’s soundtrack, and she was joined at the premiere by several of the film’s stars, including Michelle Pfeiffer, Felicity Jones, and Chloë Grace Moretz.
Earlier this fall, Gwen gave fans a sneak peek of the song’s sparkly music video on Instagram on November 5, expressing her desire to capture the sparkle and joy of the season.
The festive film, ‘Oh. What. Fun’ was released on December 3rd, 2025. The story follows Claire Clauster, played by Michelle Pfeiffer, whose family fails to appreciate the effort she puts into creating Christmas magic each year. When she unexpectedly goes missing, her family is forced to finally recognize everything she does for them.
