Emilie Kiser's Emotional Comeback

Emilie Kiser is finding solace in her online community once more. Four months after the devastating loss of her 3-year-old son Trigg, who tragically drowned in the family pool, Emilie has returned to TikTok. Her reappearance marks a poignant step in her ongoing grief journey.

In a heartfelt TikTok video shared on September 20, Emilie opened up about her nerves and the uncertainty surrounding her social media return. Clutching a necklace bearing her son's name, she candidly expressed, "Not gonna lie, I’m really nervous right now. I don’t really know if there’s any right way to start this video, but I’m going to do my best."

“I have missed getting to chat with you guys every day," she continued. "I really do love this community that we have here, and I hope that in coming back and sharing what I choose to, I can reconnect with you guys and, hopefully, help anyone going through a similar situation.”

Rebuilding Connections and Setting Boundaries

Emilie, aged 26, acknowledges her absence from social media and shares her intention to take things "day by day." She emphasizes the therapeutic nature of her return and the importance of honesty in her content creation. "I’m not going to act like things are fine and dandy," Emilie stresses. "This is really therapeutic for me. I miss talking to you guys, but I don’t know what that’s going to fully look like."

While she is open to sharing parts of her life, Emilie is clear about establishing firmer boundaries. Her loss has highlighted the need for healthier online interactions. "When I started on social media in 2021 as a new mom, my goal was to connect with other moms and find a community," she shared in an August 28 Instagram post. "Moving forward I will be establishing more boundaries with what I share online."

Grief and Gratitude

Emilie reflects on the overwhelming support she has received and expresses her gratitude. "In the future, I hope to be in a place to share more about how I am navigating this grief, but right now all I can say is thank you for the love, compassion, patience and space you've given us to grieve," she continued. "I am more grateful for it than can ever be expressed."

Emilie's journey is one of resilience and vulnerability, as she balances sharing her life with the need for privacy. Her story is a reminder of the strength found in community and the healing power of authenticity.
