New York Fashion Week took a delightfully furry turn on September 10 at the Rachel Antonoff x Susan Alexandra "Best in Show" runway event. Breaking the mold of typical fashion shows with their techno beats and straight-size models, this unique presentation featured a lineup of celebrities showing off new styles while carrying adorable shelter dogs, all up for adoption.
Amidst the mint green set reminiscent of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, stars like Nicole Byer, Edie Falco, Ali Stroker, and Dylan O'Brien paraded down the runway, each cuddling a pup that could be adopted on the spot. O'Brien, dressed in a striking red and white sweater and holding a signature beaded bag by Alexandra, couldn't stop smiling as he flaunted his brown-coated furry companion.
Edie Falco also turned heads in an eye-catching ankle-length red dress adorned with bright floral patterns, paired with yellow patent leather heels, as she cradled a shy black and white puppy.
"Ginny & Georgia" star Brianne Howey's dog Wally snagged third place in the "best in show" style competition that was the theme of the event, nearly pulling her off the runway in their debut walk.
Adding a touch of humor to the event, comedian Chris Fleming playfully engaged with the dogs on the runway, drawing smiles from an audience packed with celebrities like Busy Phillips, Ella Emhoff, and "SubwayTakes" host Kareem Rahma. It was an unforgettable day where fashion met furry friends, reminding everyone that true style includes love and warmth for our four-legged companions.
