The once-glamorous life of Denise Richards and Aaron Phypers has turned into a public spectacle of chaos and disorder. Aaron, 52, recently opened up to Inside Edition, offering a peek inside their $3.5 million rental property. The home, now the center of their courtroom drama, was shown littered with clothes, dusty surfaces, and a child's room overrun with stuffed animals. As their bitter divorce battle continues, Aaron pointed fingers at Denise, claiming she left the home in a state of havoc.
“There’s hundreds of dollars worth of vintage clothing in here. It is riddled with moths,” Aaron lamented during the interview.
Denise, 54, isn't taking these accusations lying down. She's countering with claims of her own, stating that she vacated the property two years ago and blames Aaron and his family for the current mess. According to Denise, they "severely damaged the property and left the house in a state of disarray."
Currently, Aaron resides on the lower level of the house with his parents, brother, and a whopping 15 of Denise’s dogs. Denise has accused him of failing to pay rent since January, leading to eviction proceedings. In a recent legal twist, Denise requested the court's permission to retrieve her belongings and animals without violating a restraining order. The judge ruled in her favor, allowing her to collect her possessions.
Aaron, however, remains insistent that Denise is responsible for the home's condition. "I don’t know if it’s hoarding. It’s something," he remarked. His mother, who also appeared on the show, expressed her confusion over the situation, saying, "I loved Denise and I treated her like a daughter, and I don’t understand."
The couple's split has been anything but amicable. Aaron, who filed for divorce in July after what has been described as an explosive argument, is seeking spousal support. He’s also addressing allegations of abuse, claiming Denise is retaliating with false accusations because he "publicly dumped her to the world." The couple, who tied the knot in a picturesque ceremony aired on Bravo's The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in 2018, now find themselves embroiled in a very public and messy separation.
