Corey Feldman has finally broken his silence on the Oscars tribute that left him feeling sidelined. Reflecting on the ceremony's homage to the late director Rob Reiner, Feldman described the experience as akin to "a family reunion I wasn’t invited to." Despite his significant role in Reiner's iconic film "Stand By Me," Feldman was conspicuously absent from the tribute moment.

“We’re not going to use this time to go into my feeling about that,” Feldman, 54, told Entertainment Weekly in a joint interview with Jerry O’Connell and Wil Wheaton for the film’s 40th anniversary.

Feldman expressed solidarity with his co-stars, noting they were all deeply affected by the snub. He acknowledged the tribute led by Billy Crystal at the 2026 Oscars, which included appearances by Demi Moore and Meg Ryan, as well as his "Stand By Me" co-stars Jerry O’Connell and Wil Wheaton.

Billy Crystal took center stage to honor Rob and his wife, Michele Singer-Reiner. Feldman, however, lamented the absence of personal tributes from those who knew Reiner well. "I think Jerry and Wil did what had to be done," he remarked, indicating his initial disappointment was only temporary.

Feldman further shared his thoughts on the tragic loss of Reiner, expressing a collective mourning from those close to him. "We’re all very destroyed that things went down the way they did," he said, referring to the unexpected passing of the director and his wife.

Personal Reflections and Moving Forward

Reflecting on the event, Feldman admitted he felt a twinge of regret for missing the chance to speak from the heart. "I personally was probably maybe a little bothered by the fact that nobody got to speak or do or say anything from their own heart," he confessed.
