Connor Storrie is making waves on our screens once again – and this time, for a rather unexpected reason. The star of the hit show Heated Rivalry steps into the limelight in a new Verizon advertisement, which feels more like a short film where thriller meets satire. Directed by the talented Nia DaCosta, this five-minute flick takes viewers on a suspenseful ride.
In this captivating video, Storrie navigates a secluded cabin deep in the woods, his suspicions growing with every eerie sound that echoes through the night. As the tension mounts, Storrie – clad in a snug gray tank and blue jeans – arms himself with a kitchen knife, constantly reassuring himself to stay calm as he lurks through the dimly-lit home. Just when things couldn't get more intense, a mysterious text arrives: "I'm coming for you. I'm here."
“It’s for vegetables,” Storrie insists of the knife before turning away.
As Storrie cautiously opens the front door, expecting the worst, he's instead greeted by an Uber driver. "Are you Connor S?" the driver questions, only to be startled by the sight of Storrie's knife and hightail it out of there. Storrie tries to explain, "It's for vegetables," but the driver is already gone.
Back inside, with his heart finally at ease, Storrie turns to his trusty Verizon mobile app, effortlessly locking the doors and illuminating the cabin. This clever feature highlights Verizon's promise of seamless network access and reliable service, no matter where you are.
Feeling secure, Storrie slips his phone into his back pocket, leading to a cheeky camera zoom on his renowned glutes. The screen fills with the words: "Best butt. Best network." It's a memorable punchline to an ad that's sure to stay in viewers' minds.
Beyond this ad, Storrie's career continues to flourish. He'll soon star in the indie sci-fi film April X, set for a summer release. He's also lined up for Peaked, an A24 high school reunion comedy directed by Molly Gordon, and is gearing up for Transaction Planet, his self-funded directorial debut, shot entirely on an iPhone. Clearly, Storrie is booked, busy, and still finds time for those elevated kettlebell squats!
