Sorry, Chris Hemsworth, but even superheroes can't dodge airport rules! The "Avengers: Doomsday" star recently recounted a comical travel mishap that involved trying to board a plane with the wrong passport – a classic case of mistaken identity.
At the premiere of the National Geographic docu-series Limitless: Live Better Now, Hemsworth shared a laugh-out-loud moment from his family travels. In a video for Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, he confessed, "I actually went to the airport once and I had my daughter’s passport instead of my son’s passport. They kind of look the same." His wife, Elsa Pataky, was quick to jump in, clarifying the obvious: "No, they don’t!"
“I said, ‘Oh, yeah, this is her.’ And they were like, ‘That’s a boy. No.' So, yeah, that didn’t work,” Hemsworth chuckled, recalling the incident.
Although Hemsworth didn’t reveal the destination of this foiled flight, the "Crime 101" actor has been living in Australia since 2015, after moving his family from Los Angeles to the laid-back vibes of Byron Bay. However, the idyllic beach life came with an unexpected twist – a spike in shark attacks. "When I first moved to Byron Bay, there was a string of shark attacks, two deaths, then one guy survived, in the space of two weeks. I was like, 'Where have I moved to? What have I done? This is crazy,’” he confessed on the "Smartless" podcast.
Hemsworth, an avid surfer, didn’t let the sharks keep him from the waves. "I surf every day ... I heard that more people die in America by shaking a vending machine to get chocolate or whatever out and it collapsing on them. I don't know if it's true,” he explained, brushing off the danger with his trademark humor.
Despite the occasional shark sighting, Hemsworth remains a fixture on the beach, proving that not even a feeding frenzy can keep Thor out of the water. Follow us on Instagram @WeArePauseRewind for all your pop culture obsessions.
