Britney Spears Fires Back at Kevin Federline's Memoir

Britney Spears is not holding back as she addresses explosive claims from her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, in his upcoming memoir, "You Thought You Knew." The book, which dives into their whirlwind marriage from 2004 to 2007, is set to hit shelves on October 21. Federline, 47, has been teasing the public with snippets of his tell-all, making serious allegations against the pop superstar.

Spears took to social media to vent her frustrations and heartbreak over the situation. "The constant gaslighting from ex-husband is extremely hurtful and exhausting," she tweeted on Wednesday evening. She also opened up about her struggles in maintaining a relationship with their sons, Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19, saying, "I have always pleaded and screamed to have a life with my boys. Relationships with teenage boys is complex. I have felt demoralized by this situation."

"I have pride too. From now on I will let them know when I am available. Trust me, those white lies in that book, they are going straight to the bank and I am the only one who genuinely gets hurt here." – Britney Spears

Controversial Claims and a Mother's Struggle

Federline's memoir doesn't shy away from controversy, including a startling claim that their sons sometimes woke up to find Britney standing silently with a knife. "Oh, you're awake?" she supposedly said. Britney's team has been quick to dismiss these allegations. A representative for Spears told Page Six, "With news from Kevin's book breaking, once again, he and others are profiting off her."

Britney further addressed the lack of contact with her sons in recent years, revealing that one son had only seen her for "45 minutes in the past year," while the other had only visited her "4 times in the past 5 years." The "Toxic" singer made it clear that she won't be sidelined, asserting her dignity and determination to be part of her sons' lives.

Britney's Defiant Stand Against Accusations

In addition to the book's claims, Federline has accused Britney of erratic behavior, including an alleged incident where she called ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake the night before their wedding. He expressed his concern for their sons, stating, "I'm absolutely – as a father – terrified that one day I might wake up and my sons are going to have to deal with the unimaginable."

Britney, however, remains steadfast in her love for her children, dismissing rumors about her mental health and drinking habits. "I will always love them and if you really know me, you won't pay attention to the tabloids," she wrote, calling out Federline's motives. Her representative pointed out that the book's release coincides with the end of child support payments from Britney, suggesting ulterior motives behind its timing.
