The Rise of a Billionaire Queen

Beyoncé has officially joined the exclusive club of musicians who've reached billionaire status, a feat accomplished by only a select few in the industry. Her staggering fortune largely stems from her illustrious music career, including the phenomenal success of her 2023 Renaissance World Tour, which raked in nearly $600 million. This, coupled with her record-breaking "Cowboy Carter" era, has solidified her position among the music elite, according to Forbes.

Only four other recording artists share this milestone with her, including her husband Jay-Z, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, and Bruce Springsteen. Forbes highlights that Beyoncé's self-made fortune is primarily from her music, making her one of the most successful artists of our time.

From Destiny's Child to Destiny's Fortune

"The majority of pop star Beyoncé Knowles' net worth comes from her roughly three decades as a solo performer and a member of the girl-group Destiny's Child," Forbes reported, noting that she "amassed an estimated $1 billion fortune from years of music sales, touring, and collecting art with her already-billionaire husband Jay-Z."

"Since becoming hip-hop's first billionaire in 2019, Jay-Z has more than doubled his fortune thanks to his lucrative liquor businesses," Forbes wrote.

As of now, Beyoncé is ranked No. 3312 on Forbes' Real-Time Billionaires List and is the third highest-paid musician as of 2025. Meanwhile, Jay-Z stands at No. 1495 with a whopping $2.8 billion net worth. The power couple made a splash in the real estate world by purchasing a $190 million mansion in Malibu, California, in 2023.

Giving Back: The Real Power Move

Despite their massive fortune, Beyoncé and Jay-Z are known for their generosity. Through their respective charities, the Shawn Carter Foundation and the BeyGood Foundation, they've invested in American communities, particularly those that have shaped their lives. In 2025, they donated $2.5 million to the Los Angeles Fire Relief Fund after devastating wildfires, and BeyGood provided scholarships to 100 students attending historically Black colleges and universities.

Building Futures in Houston

Furthering her commitment to philanthropy, Beyoncé, alongside Destiny's Child alum Kelly Rowland, is set to open The Knowles-Rowland House in early 2026. Confirmed by Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles, this $8.4 million permanent supportive housing project in Houston will offer housing and services for those experiencing chronic homelessness, marking yet another way the superstar is giving back to her roots.
