Babatunde Aléshé Dances Into the Spotlight

Comedian and podcaster Babatunde Aléshé is stepping up to the dance floor for the much-anticipated Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special. Known for his appearances on Taskmaster and Celebrity Gogglebox, Aléshé is ready to dust off his old dance moves and bring some festive cheer to viewers. Having previously entertained audiences in the jungle on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, Aléshé is no stranger to the spotlight.

“I used to do street locking and break dancing, but then I found comedy and pursued that instead," Aléshé shared with a chuckle. "Let’s hope the old moves come back to me in time for Christmas.”

Star-Studded Lineup for Strictly's Christmas Special

Joining Aléshé on the dance floor will be a dazzling lineup of celebrities, including EastEnders star Nicholas Bailey, All Saints singer Melanie Blatt, former Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt, and Gladiator Jodie Ounsley. The festive special promises to be a glittering event, with professional dancer Nancy Xu paired with Aléshé in what is sure to be a memorable performance.

What to Expect from the Festive Showdown

Hosted by Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly, the Christmas special will see six couples compete for the coveted title of Christmas champion. Judged by the iconic panel of Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, and Anton Du Beke, the show will be a feast of dance and entertainment. Last year, the title was claimed by Strictly’s first drag artist, Tayce, alongside professional dancer Kai Widdrington. The final two celebrity contestants for this year’s show will be revealed on Strictly: It Takes Two, airing this week on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer. Don't miss the festive fun on BBC One and BBC iPlayer this Christmas!
