Ariana Grande Tackles Ticket Troubles

Ariana Grande knows her fans are struggling to get their hands on tickets for the much-anticipated Eternal Sunshine Tour, and she's not taking it lightly. The pop sensation took to Instagram Stories on Saturday, September 13, to address the ticketing chaos that has left many fans empty-handed. "Hi my angels, I have been on set all week, but I wanted to let you know that what's been happening with the secondary ticket resellers has been brought to my attention," the 32-year-old shared. "Of course, I am incredibly bothered by it. I've been on the phone every second of my free time, fighting for a solution."

"I hear you and, hopefully, we will be able to get more of these tickets into your hands instead of theirs. It's not right. I just wanted you to know that my team and I see it and that I care very much. We will do, and are doing, everything we can." – Ariana Grande

Grande's heartfelt message continued with a promise to her devoted supporters: "I love you all so much," she added, "Thank you for your patience and understanding."

The Ticketing Fiasco

Tickets for the Eternal Sunshine Tour went on sale Tuesday, September 9, and were quickly snatched up, despite fans enduring long waits in Ticketmaster queues. Scalpers and third-party resellers managed to snag large quantities, later reselling them at sky-high prices. This left countless fans disappointed and frustrated.

Grande announced the tour at the end of last month to promote her latest album, released in February 2024. With the album being a concept piece inspired by "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," the tour was eagerly awaited by her fanbase.

Behind the Music

In a candid chat on the Zach Sang Show, Grande shared insights into the making of her new album. "I think it is very different in a lot of ways," she revealed. "It's also touching on Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, so it's kind of a concept album, which I also haven't done before. That's also kind of why I don't want to put out a second single before the album because I would like for it to be heard in one piece."

The emotional depth of the album is something Grande is passionate about, as she elaborated, "It says everything and nothing at the same time. It's very vague and very specific – all at once. [This record was] the most emotional writing process, for sure."
