Alexandra Grant has taken to social media to address the swirling rumors about her relationship with Keanu Reeves. Recently, speculations were buzzing around a photo of the couple, suggesting they might have tied the knot. But in a bold move, Grant clarified the situation in an Instagram post, urging everyone to be cautious about what they share online.
Earlier this month, the rumor mill was in full swing with claims that Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant had a secret wedding in Europe. Radar Online reported that the couple had an intimate ceremony over the summer. However, Reeves’s representative quickly squashed these rumors, telling E! News on September 22, "It is not true. They are not married."
In her Instagram post, Grant shared a heartwarming photo of herself and Reeves kissing at the iconic Roden Crater. She wrote, "This is a real photo. Not an engagement photo or an AI wedding announcement... simply a kiss! (Albeit maybe the moment right before or after it... given the slightly goofy expressions on our faces!)" Grant further expressed gratitude for the well-wishes but set the record straight: "We didn’t get married. Good news is much needed these days, but it’s still fake news, so be careful out there! So, here’s a bit of real happiness!”
The couple, who have been together for several years, are no strangers to public attention. On September 3, Alexandra Grant posted a sweet tribute to Reeves for his 61st birthday, sharing a photo of a heart-shaped cake. She captioned it, "Thank you to everyone for sending over sweet wishes for Keanu’s birthday yesterday... he was well-celebrated! And to Keanu – who saw this post as a draft! – I am so grateful for your love and partnership. Now back to painting! xo."
Grant and Reeves first crossed paths before working together on their 2011 picture book, "Ode to Happiness," which Reeves authored and Grant illustrated. Their professional collaboration continued with "Shadows" in 2016, and they co-founded the publishing house X Artists’ Books in 2017. Their relationship became public in 2019, and in March 2023, Reeves shared a glimpse into their private world, telling People, "We were in bed. We were connected. We were smiling and laughing and giggling. Feeling great. It was just really nice to be together."
