Alexandra Grant and Keanu Reeves are not just a power couple in love, but also in creativity. The visual artist recently dished on how the couple – who first collaborated on "Ode to Happiness" in 2011 and stepped out publicly as a couple in 2019 – manage to balance their romantic and professional lives.

"He's always so appreciative," Grant shared in a candid chat with People, published on May 29. "He's always cautious with feedback, and I would say the same. You want to always be respectful and leave the other person to bake their cake."

"We know that we could talk about any problem or challenge or creative idea and talk about it forever if that is needed," Grant explained. "Respecting the individual need to dive deep is important."

The couple's journey began at a dinner party in 2009, and since then, their connection has blossomed into a deep partnership. From their artistic projects like the book "Shadows" in 2016 to co-founding X Artists' Books in 2017, their collaboration has been as strong as their love.

Despite their public debut as a couple at the 2019 LACMA Art + Film Gala, Grant admits she didn't expect the media frenzy that followed. "I think every single person I knew called me in the first week of November," she recalled. "But the question I've been asking in all of this is: ‘What is the opportunity for good?'"
